At 18. and 19. April, in Aachen, Germany the
Conference Sensor Based Sorting 2012 was held.
Dr. Christian Bohling took part in the meeting with talk about the LIBS sensor technology for sorting applications.
In the accompanying exhibition and with new prospects were shown
Recycling Applications based on FiberLIBS
and a approach for a Scan Head.

(January 2011) Delivery of the first FiberLIBS system with hand manipulated measuring head
In January 2011 the SECOPTA will hand over for use to a key-account customer the first FiberLIBS element analysis system with hand manipulated measuring head.
After testing and fitting of the system in real industrial environment there should be realized a couple of systems at a single location.

conference takes place. Current focus is the transfer of results from the most recent research in the field of optics to
applications in the security field. In the talk "Trace detection of nitrogen-based explosives with UV-PLF" (7838A-9)
SECOPTA presents newest results in the development of a portable system for the detection of explosives.
The presentation was held by Dr. Jens-Uwe Günther on 20 September 2010 in the session
"Local Sensing: Nuclear, Crime Scenes, Narcotics, Explosives, and Chemical and Biological Agents II".

was discussed. SECOPTA and their project partners TU Clausthal and WIS (Wehrwissenschaftlichen Institut für ABC Schutztechnologien)
presented current results in detection hazardous biological contaminations.

The website of SECOPTA has been extended greatly and now offers visitors a wealth of information for SECOPTA,

Commissioning the new laboratory SECOPTA improves processing of customers samples for preparation
of customers application projects. In addition to the development of optical sensor systems now the
processing and assembly of optical fibers is possible.
